The brochures from the Tourist Office in Les 2 Alpes proudly declare that there are over 80 activities in the resort in the summer. I’ve not checked the figures but summer afternoons in resort are a mass of activity, as the glacier is closed giving visitors a chance to try their hand at something new.

Along the base of the mountain you’ll find go-karts, trampolines, beach volleyball courts, a mountain bike park, bouncy castles, archery… the list goes on and you can read more about these summer afternoon activities here.

Within easy access of the resort, or via an organised trip, you can go climbing, horse riding or white water rafting, try out the local via ferrata or visit the Wednesday market in Mont de Lans, accessible via a free chairlift.

Possibly the most popular local activity is the Adventure Park. Rope swings, climbing nets, obstacle courses through the trees and a bungee jump await you, plus there’s a dedicated area for kids.
