Links

Below you’ll find links to other websites for businesses and services in Les 2 Alpes.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, it’s a list of the websites and businesses that I use. I believe small businesses should work together and support each other where possible, to promote the resort and ensure that visitors have the best experience.

Before you come…
The tourist office in Les 2 Alpes runs a good website, but unfortunately you won’t find all the pages in English. You can buy your liftpass online, check out the local webcam and start planning your routes using the resort’s piste map.

Ski school with the British, Italian and French instructors at the European Ski & Snowboard School (ESSS) can be booked online and you can organise a guide for your off-piste adventures by email.

Ski and snowboard hire can be booked online through Ski Republic. You’ll also find the staff here knowledgable and helpful, with a boot-fitting service that’s second to none.

Accommodation…
Most of the main British tour operators have accommodation in Les 2 Alpes so packages aren’t hard to find. However, there’s a definite trend towards independent travel and if you’d rather enjoy some peace and quiet or focus on your own holiday rather than what your Rep wants you to do, there are solid options here.

The resort has two English-run independent hotels: Hotel Le Cret and Hotel La Meije.

If you prefer self-catering, then Emma and Roberto at Hotel Le Cret also have two apartments to rent, in the Les Seracs and Lou Veno buildings, both centrally located.

Nights out…
The biggest bar in Les 2 Alpes is Smithy’s Tavern. The restaurant is famous for it’s large portions of tex-mex and burgers and the downstairs the bar heaves from 10pm so come earlier if you fancy a quiet drink or pop next door to the newly opened Mini Bar.

Another great bar/restaurant is Smokey Joe’s. Located at the base of the main lifts, it’s great for a pre-ski Full English or post-ski drink.

Additional services…
In-resort English-speaking childcare is available through Snow Angel Nannies, which provides fully qualified nannies, day and/or evening.

And should you injure yourself or simply need a relaxing massage, chartered physiotherapist Ciara Morville of Physio 2 Alpes is on hand to help with your aches and pains.

As I said, this list is based on quality not quantity, so if you know of any companies or sites that are particularly good and think should be on the list, please don’t hesitate to email me.
