This isn’t really a links page, more of a recommendation page. I wanted to share the websites, blogs, and brands, that we use, love and enhance our life here in the mountains. This list is by no means exhaustive, it changes regularly and is a reflection on the practicalities of life here…

Life here would be much colder and more miserable without the super qualities of wool. I’m a big fan of merino wool clothing for sports and for life in general and am a regular customer of Finisterre and The Sock Site. I also couldn’t survive the depths of winter on the mountain without my Salomon Primaloft liner. Mine’s older but this version looks a tempting buy…

On the rare occasion I visit the city or have a mini-craving for the city-life of my youth, I visit Grenoble Life to see what’s new. I also like them because they sometimes publish my work… When we do visit the city we always eat at here, a gorgeous vegetarian restaurant with small menu centered around savoury cake and salads, opposite the market on Place Sainte-Claire.

Regarding equipment, I’m all about Mac and Canon which work well together. I film on a Canon HG10 and photograph with a Canon G10. Both do film and still, making them adaptable no matter what I’m up to. I also use the iPhone 3GS and MacBook Pro, and the site is Wordpress.
