Hi, my name is Vickie and I’m the main contributor to Destination Oisans. Well, at the moment I’m the only contributor but that may well change! I’ve lived in the Southern French Alps since 2006 and I’m a freelance writer, although with such beautiful scenery it’s been impossible not to branch out into photography and film.

The idea of Destination Oisans sprang from my passion for the area and the many wonderful sights and activities on offer. I hope you agree that it’s a great place to be!

It’s a family thing…
Despite being the one who writes, films, photographs and does all the uploading, this website is a collaborative effort. It simply wouldn’t be here without the support, inspiration and hard work of two wonderful men: The Boyfriend and The Brother.

The Boyfriend is the man you’ll see in many of my photos, a man who’s not a fan of publicity but puts up with my constant snapping because he knows it makes me happy. The Brother’s artistic flare has always inspired awe in me and I was so excited by the amazing design he’s created for Destination Oisans. His patience with my never-ending questions has kept this website moving in the right direction.

I’ve also received countless support from my friends and the Deux Alpes Family, who’ve encouraged me to get going, keep writing and stick with the reporting, no matter what the weather brings. I’m truly grateful to live in such a friendly town and am sure that after one trip to the Oisans, you won’t want to leave either.
